The Gemini Centre for Advanced Robotics

Unifies the combined efforts of NTNU and SINTEF within robotics

The Gemini Centre for Advanced Robotics was formed in 2007 by the Norwegian research organisation SINTEF and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) to meet the growing need for a collective Norwegian research community within advanced robotic systems and solutions. The centre specializes in modeling, control and design of advanced robotic and production systems and has a strong focus on robotic inspection and maintenance solutions for the Norwegian offshore industry.

The Gemini Centre for Advanced Robotics comprises robotic research communities within SINTEF and NTNU. Hence, the research personnel within the centre consist of research scientists, professors and students. The centre performs research for several Norwegian industries, such as the oil & gas industry.
